Are You In An Abusive Relationship?

You could be in an abusive relatioinship if your partner displays any or all of the following behaviors:

Your Partner’s moods make you worry and alter your behavior.
Your Partner uses jealousy and anger to control you.
Your Partner controls your money, or wants to be needed for money.
Your Partner ridicules, insults, and/or humiliates you, or accuses you of having affairs.
Your Partner screams at you, throws things, or breaks and/or steals your things.
Your Partner threatens to “out” you.
Your Partner claims to be out of control from alcohol, drugs or an abusive childhood.
Your Partner forces you to have sex or to do things that you don’t want to do sexually.
Your Partner slaps, shoves or hits you.

What happens when you call
BRAVO to make a report:

You will be guided through a simple process of information gathering about the incident and yourself. There are NO requirements - you can share the level of information that is comfortable for you. You may choose to report anonymously. All reports are kept strictly confidential.

BRAVO can help you identify your options and potential courses of action.

If you choose to make a police report (you are not required to do so), we can explain the procedure, go with you to police headquarters, or arrange to have the report taken at BRAVO or some other site.

After the report is taken, we will still be there for you. We can assist and accompany you through all steps in the process. For some, our support groups and self-defense classes are an important part of the process.

We will add your report to our compilation of local and national statistics, which are released each year.

IMPORTANT: While you may email reports to BRAVO via this link, BRAVO cannot guarantee complete anonymity. Please be advised that although your report will be completely confidential, the sender's email address and/or name will be included. Any future user of a shared or public computer may be able to access sent information.
